The business and affairs of ZACUCE are at present managed under the direction of the Board of Trustees. The Board consists of seven (7) trustees. Detailed information about duties and responsibilities of the Board and Trustees is described in the by-laws available on this website. We are exploring ways to make the Board more participatory by all ZAPANJ members and you can expect major changes to the by-laws in coming months.
Primarily, ZACUCE has engaged in fundraising activities for the last four (4) years. It has held three (3) fund raising events consisting of dinner, dance, entertainment, raffle etc. Currently ZACUCE has plans for several active fund raising programs of which a couple - like the Shop-Rite card and Escript program - are in place. If you are interested in participating, please click on On-Going Programs. We are always seeking new ideas and volunteers to raise funds. Please contact any member of the ZACUCE Board if you would like to participate.
ZACUCE has its monthly meeting on the first Sunday of every month at 10.30 a.m. except if it is a long weekend. In that event, the meeting is held on the following Sunday. Meetings are held at the individual members' homes and lunch is provided by the host/hostess. The meeting calendar for 2007 can be found on the web site. Generally the meeting is attended by Board Members, donors and volunteers who are primarily members of the ZAPANJ community. Please refer to the schedule and contact the host/hostess if you would like to participate.
We have several working committees. The list can be found by clicking on Committees. We are always looking for fresh faces, new volunteers, new members new ideas and we welcome a broad-based participation. If you are interested in serving on any of the committees please contact any one of the Board Members.
